Formal Religious Education has reached 69 years in the country. It plays an important role in ensuring that religious knowledge becomes the core of the development of the race and nation. A tazkirah or lecture titled 'Ilmu dan Amal sebagai Cahaya Kehidupan' underscored the matter during the 199th Munajat Night in conjunction with the 69th Anniversary of Formal Religious Education.

Leading the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah was Awang Haji Mohammad Ahsanul Azmi bin Haji Sarbini, Acting Assistant Director of Educational Institution at the Islamic Studies Department. Meanwhile, Doa Munajat was read by Pengiran Mohamad Aminuddin bin Pengiran Haji Hussin, Acting Assistant Director for Professional, Islamic Studies Department. It was filled by the reading of Surah Yasin and recitation of selawat. Also participating in the Special Munajat were academic staff and teachers under the Islamic Studies Department as well as congregants from several mosques nationwide and private individuals.
